Volunteering your time, skills, and resources is one of the most powerful ways to make a difference at Meadows.
PTM Committees
Below is the list of active PTM Committees. If you see something that interests you and that you want to volunteer to help with, please complete this Volunteer Sign-up form or email the PTM President here.
Best Buddies
Best Buddies is an organization that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Best Buddies Committee Chair acts as the liaison between PTM and Best Buddies Program.
Bingo Night
Bingo Night is PTM’s first event of the school year. It is an opportunity to bring the Meadows community together to participate in a fun activity, eat food, and win prizes.
Book Fair
Meadows hosts a book fair twice per year in the school library. Working in partnership with the Meadows librarian, volunteers help to set up and tear down the Book Fair products, and work with students and families at the book fair.
Camp Friendly Pines
Camp Friendly Pines is Meadows’ annual overnight field trip for 5th graders, typically held in September. It serves as a special opportunity to build community and connection among the new 5th grade class. Volunteers collaborate with the lead teacher to help organize and carry out the trip, including supporting fundraising efforts to make it possible.
Christmas Tree Recycling
Every year, Meadows PTM and Simis PATS partner to collect Christmas trees from area residents after the winter holiday season. Volunteering includes coordinating with PATS to recruit volunteers and execute the day-of activity.
Copy Cats
To help lighten the workload for teachers and staff, PTM assists with making photocopies of assignments, flyers, forms, and more. The Committee Chair is responsible for coordinating and scheduling volunteers to fulfill copy requests.
Fall Fundraiser
The bulk of PTM’s funding is raised through our annual Fall Fundraiser. The Fall Fundraiser Committee Chair collaborates with PTM and the partnering fundraising company to ensure the event runs smoothly and successfully.
Fall Family Fun Fest
The Fall Family Fun Fest is PTM’s annual autumn celebration, featuring lawn games, crafts, service projects, food, and more. In coordination with PTM and school administration, the Committee Chair leads the planning and organization of this fun community event.
Green Team
The Green Team is PTM’s recycling and sustainability committee, focused on promoting environmentally responsible habits across Meadows. This committee leads initiatives such as recycling plastic bags, electronics, sneakers, and more. The Committee Chair is responsible for coordinating these recycling programs.
Holiday Party
Meadows PTM and Simis PATS jointly host a holiday party every December. PTM and PATS take turns organizing and hosting the party. During PTM’s year, volunteers work with PTM to plan the holiday party, including coordinating food, drinks, party location, and more.
Meadows Got Talent
Meadows Got Talent is the school’s annual student talent showcase, featuring both performance and visual art components. In collaboration with Meadows teachers, the Committee Chair helps manage event logistics to ensure a smooth and successful show.
Paint Along Night
Paint Along Night is PTM’s annual art event where participants create their own artwork to take home by following along with an artist using the Bob Ross method. Volunteers help bring this fun event to life by coordinating with Meadows’ art teachers to select the featured artwork, gathering supplies, organizing participants, and handling other event logistics.
Picture Day
Student picture day takes place at the beginning of each school year. The Committee Chair coordinates and recruits volunteers to assist on picture day.
RAMazon – PBIS Store
The RAMazon Store is part of Meadows’ Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, rewarding students for positive behavior. Students earn points from teachers and staff, which they can redeem for items at the RAMazon Store. The Committee Chair partners with the school to schedule store days, manage inventory, and assist with student purchases when the store is open.
Spirit Wear Sales
PTM offers Meadows Spirit Wear for sale twice a year—once in the fall and again in the spring. The Committee Chair collaborates with the clothing vendor to select items for the online store and is responsible for distributing purchased items once they arrive.
Spring Student Dance
The Spring Student Dance is PTM’s annual student-only dance for Meadows students. In coordination with PTM and school administration, the Committee Chair leads the planning and organization of this fun student event.
Spring Parent Social & Fundraiser
This annual spring social and fundraiser hosted by PTM features a silent auction and an opportunity for the Meadows community to come together and connect. The Committee Chair, in coordination with PTM, leads party-planning and gathering of donated items for auction.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Appreciation
PTM hosts events and special activities to celebrate and support Meadows teachers and staff throughout the school year Events may include the Back-to-School Luncheon, conference dinners and snacks, and Teacher Appreciation Week. The Committee Chair, working in coordination with school administration and PTM, manages volunteers, gathers donations, schedules activities, and ensures everything runs smoothly
Teacher Supply Closet
PTM manages two teacher supply closets on campus, providing essential materials for teachers and staff to support their classrooms and students throughout the year. The Committee Chair organizes inventory, monitors inventory levels, and notifies PTM when restocking is needed.

6th Grade Trip
Each spring, Meadows hosts an annual overnight science field trip to Flagstaff for 6th-grade students. Volunteers collaborate with the lead teacher to help organize and carry out the trip, including supporting fundraising efforts to make it possible.
8th Grade Promotion
Each year, PTM organizes activities to celebrate Meadows’ 8th graders, including Water Park Day, an 8th grade dance, 8th grade panoramic photo day, and treat days. The Committee Chair, in coordination with PTM and school administrators, organizes these activities as well as communications with 8th grade families.
