Congratulations on nearing the end of your 8th-grade student’s journey through middle school here at Madison Meadows! We have some pretty exciting things in store for our 8th graders for their final year. Please make sure you put these dates and times into your calendar and continue to check your email for updates.

Yearbook Custom Pages

All yearbook custom pages are due on April 13. This includes:

  • 8th graders’ baby photos

  • 8th grade recognition ads

  • Personalized pages

Promotion Tickets

Students will receive 4 promotion tickets during their guided study class. Meadows Office will send out a reminder to parents to look in backpacks for ticket envelopes. All tickets are General Admission. Tickets cannot be replaced and digital copies (e.g. photo or scan) will not work so put them in a safe and memorable place!

Fun Friday Treats

Students wear 8th-grade promotion t-shirt each Friday and get some treats.

Promotion Rehearsal
9:30 am – 10:30 am Mandatory rehearsal at Meadows Cafeteria

Promotion Dance

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm 8th Grade Promotion Dance at Meadows Cafeteria

Drop-off and pick-up will be at the back of the school off 3rd Avenue

ONLY Meadows students are allowed at the dance

Once a student leaves, they may not re-enter the dance

Monday, May 19, 2025

Promotion Day
8:40 am – 9:00 am – Yearbook signing in class.

9:00 am -10:30 am – Mandatory rehearsal in Meadows Cafeteria.

11:00 – 12:00 pm – 8th-grade student awards assembly in Meadows Cafeteria. Parents/guardians of students who are receiving an award will receive a separate email so you can plan to attend. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend – you must check in using your government-issued ID.

12:00 pm – 8th-grade student pick up. No bus transportation provided – pick up off of 3rd Avenue side of campus. If you are checking out an additional sibling (not in 8th grade), you must do so in the front office.

4:30 pm – Student drop off at The Madison Center for the Arts (5601 N. 16th Street. Phoenix, AZ 85016)

5:00 pm – Doors open at Madison Center for the Arts. All seats are General Admission.

5:30 pm – Promotion ceremony begins (event will be live-streamed)

Tuesday, May 20, 2025

Trip to Hurricane Harbor
8:30 am – Students report to 1st-period classes as normal

10:30 am – Buses Depart Meadows School for Hurricane Harbor

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Catered lunch will be served. Including unlimited fountain beverages during meal time; hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni & cheese, baked beans, chips and cookies.

5:30 pm – Buses Arrive at Meadows School (parents must pick up from school). Please note that return time may vary based on traffic. Students will be reminded to text parents when they are leaving the waterpark.

**Students will have access to all of the amenities at the waterpark.

**Students are also expected to obey all park staff and adhere to park rules.

**We expect our students to follow school expectations at all times.

**Students should bring a towel, and sun protection (hat, sunscreen) and wear the class t-shirt (labeling is suggested).

Promotion certificates will be handed out at school. If your student is not at school, promotion certificates will be mailed (if the student account is settled).
